Key Terms

Familiars: Divine Spirits that serve a god of a shrine, most are spirits that was born to the shrine, or they are lion-dogs which are very loyal and most shrines have two. However some shrines do not choose to have them and can uses creatures like a snake or even a fox (preferably white as it is pure, innocent and divine) very few are creatures that have sealed a contract with a god to serve them. Most contracts are formed by 'kissing', the god is the one that normally will do it but sometimes... it can be done by the one becoming the familiar. Familiars if they are youkai will have a good portion of their abilities sealed, as it is not fitting for them to 'kill' or attack around their god (lord/master or lady/mistress), they are also bound by sacred word binding that forces them to obey when used this works on divine spirits as well. The job(s) of a familiar are simple, protect and serve the god of the shrine as well as insure that the shrine is kept in order.

Youkai: Youkai also known as Demons are supernatural creatures that are the talk of myths, stories and many on-goings of 'darkness'. They come in all shapes, sizes and types most do not like human's and thus humans tend to fear them.

Shrine Spirits: These are the spirits that are connected to the shrine that aid the god in their duties whereas the familiar tends to the shrine itself.

Kamisama Kiss: Nanami Momozono dreams of living an average school life just like any other high school girl does. Instead, she must cope up with the fact that her father, who is a constant gambler, has accumulated a bunch of gambling debts on her. As she can't afford to pay the rent, she gets kicked out of her apartment and is now homeless. Despite this unfortunate turn of events, she still maintains a kind heart.

While sitting on a park bench collecting her thoughts, Nanami meets a strange man hanging from a tree because he is being chased by a dog. After saving him from the dog, she learns that the man's name is Mikage. Upon learning about Nanami's current situation, in a perfect example of how good deeds are rewarded, he gives her his home as a token of his gratitude. She accepts the offer because she is homeless. When Nanami arrives at Mikage's home, she is shocked to see that it is not a normal home but a shrine for worship. After being greeted by both Onikiri and Kotetsu who are the keepers of the shrine, she meets Tomoe, Mikage's familiar, and she learns that Mikage used to be the Earth Deity of the shrine and has bestowed upon her his mark so that she may be the new deity. At first Nanami is reluctant, but as she lives with Tomoe, Onikiri and Kotetsu she begins to understand and works hard in her new position as the Earth Deity. As the story progresses Nanami finds herself falling in love with Tomoe, but he rejects her because the love between a human and a yokai is taboo. Despite saying that, Tomoe finds himself falling in love with her too.

Yu Yu Hakusho: Yusuke Urameshi, a 14-year-old street-brawling delinquent who, in an uncharacteristic act of altruism, is hit by a car and killed in an attempt to save a young boy by pushing him out of the way.[3][4][5] His ghost is greeted by Botan, a woman who introduces herself as the pilot of the River Styx, who ferries souls to the "Underworld" or Spirit World (霊界? Reikai) where they may be judged for the afterlife. Botan informs Yusuke that his act had caught even the Underworld by surprise and that there was not yet a place made for him in either heaven or hell. Thus Koenma, son of the Underworld's ruler King Enma, offers Yusuke a chance to return to his body through a series of tests.[3][4][5] Yusuke succeeds with the help of his friends Keiko Yukimura and Kazuma Kuwabara. After returning to life, Koenma grants Yusuke the title of "Underworld Detective" (霊界探偵? Reikai Tantei, lit. "Spirit World Detective"), charging him with investigating supernatural activity within the Human World (人間界? Ningen Kai). Soon Yusuke is off on his first case, retrieving three treasures stolen from the Underworld by a gang of demons: Hiei, Kurama and Goki.[4] Yusuke collects the three treasures with the aid of his new technique, the "Rei Gun", a shot of aura or Reiki (霊気? Reiki, "Spirit Energy") fired mentally from his index finger.[3][5] He then travels to the mountains in search of the aged, female martial arts master Genkai. Together with his rival Kuwabara, Yusuke fights through a tournament organized by Genkai to find her successor. Yusuke uses the competition as a cover to search for Rando, a demon who steals the techniques of martial arts masters and kills them.[4] Yusuke defeats Rando in the final round of the tournament and trains with Genkai for several months, gaining more mastery over his aura.[3] Yusuke is then sent to Maze Castle in the Demon Plane (魔界? Makai, lit. "Demon World"), a third world occupied solely by demons, where Kuwabara and the newly reformed Kurama and Hiei assist him in defeating the Four Beasts, a quartet of demons attempting to blackmail Koenma into removing the barrier keeping them out of the human world.

Yusuke's next case sends him on a rescue mission, where he meets Toguro, a human turned into a demon. In order to test his strength, Toguro invites Yusuke to the Dark Tournament (暗黒武術会? Ankoku Bujutsukai, "Dark Martial Arts Association"), an event put on by corrupt, rich humans in which teams of demons, and occasionally humans, fight fierce battles for the chance to receive any wish they desire. Team Urameshi, consisting of Yusuke, Kuwabara, Kurama, Hiei and a disguised Genkai, traverse through the strenuous early rounds to face Team Toguro in the finals and win the tournament. They learn that Team Toguro's owner, Sakyo, was attempting to win in order to create a large hole from the human world to the Demon Plane and allow countless demons through.[3] With his loss, Sakyo destroys the tournament arena, killing himself in the process.

After the tournament, Yusuke returns home, but has little time to rest as he is challenged to a fight by three teenagers possessing superhuman powers and who end up taking the detective hostage. Kuwabara and the others rescue him and learn that the whole scenario was a test put on by Genkai. It is disclosed that Shinobu Sensui, Yusuke's predecessor as Underworld Detective, has recruited six other powerful beings to help him take over where Sakyo left off, opening a hole to the Demon Plane in order to cause genocide of the human race. Yusuke and his friends challenge and defeat Sensui's associates one-by-one, culminating in a final battle between the two detectives. Sensui kills Yusuke then retreats into the newly opened portal to the Demon Plane. Yusuke is reborn as a partial demon, discovering that his ancestor passed down a recessive gene that would hide until an heir with sufficient power surfaced, when his demonic lineage would be revealed.[3] Yusuke travels to the Demon Plane and defeats Sensui with the aid of the spirit of his ancestor who takes control of Yusuke's body to finish the fight.

As they return to the human world, Yusuke is stripped of his detective title as King Enma orders he be captured and executed in fear that Yusuke's demon blood could cause him to go on a rampage in the human world. Yusuke, unsettled at having been controlled by his ancestor Raizen, accepts an offer by Raizen's followers to return to the Demon Plane. Raizen, desiring a successor to his territory, is on the brink of dying of starvation, a death that would topple the delicate political balance of the three ruling powers of the Demon Plane. Hiei and Kurama are summoned by the other two rulers, Mukuro and Yomi, respectively, to prepare for an inevitable war.[3] The three protagonists train in the realm for one year, during which time Raizen dies and Yusuke inherits his territory. Yusuke takes initiative and proposes a fighting tournament to name the true ruler of the Demon Plane, which is agreed upon by Mukuro and Yomi. During the tournament, Yusuke and Yomi meet in the second elimination round where Yusuke is defeated and knocked unconscious. Yusuke awakens days later to find that the tournament has ended and that a similar competition is to be held every so often to determine the Demon Plane's ruler. Yusuke stays in the Demon Plane for a while longer, but eventually returns to the human world after several years to be with Keiko.

InuYasha: In modern-day Tokyo, Kagome Higurashi lives on the grounds of her family's Shinto shrine with her mother, grandfather and little brother. On her fifteenth birthday, when she goes to retrieve her cat, a centipede demon bursts out of the enshrined Bone Eater's Well (骨喰いの井戸? Honekui no Ido) and drags Kagome into it.

But instead of hitting the bottom of the well, Kagome time travels to the past during Japan's Sengoku period. The centipede demon seeks the Shikon Jewel (四魂の玉? Shikon no Tama, lit. "The Jewel of Four Souls"), an artifact that would grant any wish the bearer desires; it had previously been defeated by a warrior priestess named Kikyo, and Kagome looks just like her. In fact, Kagome is a reincarnation of Kikyo and houses the Shikon Jewel in her own body. Kagome finds a young man pinned by a sacred arrow on a tree and, in a moment of desperation, frees him to defeat the centipede demon. The man is Inuyasha, a half-dog demon (yōkai) who was pinned by Kikyo for trying to steal the jewel. However, the Shikon Jewel is extracted from Kagome's body, and in the ensuing fight with another crow demon, the jewel is shattered into numerous shards that disperse across ancient Japan, falling into the hands of those who then gain the individual shards' power.

After Inuyasha gains his father's sword Tessaiga and is subdued by a magical necklace to keep him in line, he aids Kagome in collecting the shards and dealing with the threats they cause. The two are joined in their quest by the young fox demon Shippo while dealing with third parties groups like Inuyasha's older brother Sesshomaru and the partially revived Kikyo, whose own version of what happened years ago brings the events into question. When joined by Miroku, a perverted monk whose bloodline is cursed, Inuyasha and Kagome learn the truth: that the initial conflict between Inuyasha and Kikyo, revealed to originally be lovers, was caused by a devious half-demon named Naraku. The evolving Naraku is revealed to have been born from the soul of an evil man named Onigumo inhabiting a body created by countless demons as part of a pact and who also placed the curse on Miroku's family. Naraku is after the Shikon Jewel shards for his own ends. Inuyasha's group is soon joined after by Sango, a demon slayer whose clan was killed when her younger brother Kohaku fell under Naraku's control. Over time, Inuyasha enhances Tessaiga powers as he contends with Naraku's minion incarnations like Kagura and the reanimated Band of Seven. Inuyasha's team is loosely allied by Sesshomaru, Kikyo, and a wolf demon named Koga, who wants to avenge his comrades while flirting with Kagome.

While Naraku momentarily removes his heart in the form of the Infant, who later attempts to overthrow Naraku through his vessel Moryomaru, Kohaku regains his freewill and memories, as he attempts to help out of guilt for indirectly killing his father. During that time, Sesshomaru settles things with Inuyasha to enable his brother to perfect Tessaiga to its optimal abilities. Eventually, Koga is forced to stand on the sidelines, Kikyo posthumously uses the last of her power to give Kohaku a second chance at life, and Naraku finally reassembles the Shikon Jewel. Although Inuyasha and his allies defeat him, realizing his true desire is for Kikyo's love despite his hatred towards her and that it can never be granted, Naraku uses his wish to trap himself and Kagome in the Shikon Jewel. The jewel intends to have Kagome make a selfish wish so she and Naraku will be trapped in conflict for eternity. But with Inuyasha by her side, Kagome wishes for the Shikon Jewel to disappear. The action, though, causes Kagome to return to her time with the Well sealed, and she and Inuyasha lose contact for three years.

In that time, the Sengoku period changes drastically: Sango and Miroku have three children together; Kohaku resumes his journey to become a strong demon slayer with Kirara as his companion; and Shippo attains the seventh rank as a fox demon. Back in the present, Kagome graduates from high school before finally managing to get the Bone Eater's Well in her backyard to work again. Kagome returns to the Sengoku period, where she stays with Inuyasha and becomes his wife.

The link between the divine and the mortal for many centuries has been weakening, the mortals having little time to go to the shrines they used to visit nonstop, or some simply no longer wanting to believe that gods could aid them in their every day life. So as the connection between the two began to weaken even more steps had to be taken, it was noticed that in olden times the people feared the darkness of death and thus prayed to their gods and visited their shrines that much more and it was decided that it was best to 'use' that same time. A time 'flux' was then created connecting shrines to the past giving gods their strength once again, and also setting a balance of power throughout the land.

Of course not all humans in modern day stopped going, and it was necessary for both those in the past and present could continue asking for prayers, giving thanks or offerings. Though there is a very fine line between the past and present, the shrine has a 'barrier' around it keeping the two timelines apart but from time to time a human on either side can catch a glimpse but one simply brushes it off thinking they are just seeing things. However, sometimes that isn't enough to keep a shrine going as there are many gods as well as many shrines some shrines barely have a leg to stand on while others grow stronger as time goes by, to keep balance once every few centuries a 'tournament' is held to keep the balance of spiritual power. To keep a shrine going one simply must compete in the tournament past a certain point, even if they do not 'win' the shrine will still be blessed and continue to thrive till the next tournament.

The gods of course do not take part in the tournament as it is the job of their familiar(s) as they have the abilities necessary to take part, though some familiar's do not always make it out alive for the more rounds a familiar wins the stronger their shrine becomes if they win their shrine is protected and blessed greatly even if they were to lose the next tournament but they must pass if not win the next tournament the third time or their shrine falls. Shrine's that fall become nothing more than barren area's that youkai of shadows, darkness, etc.. Gather and is no longer a welcoming place to humans before soon crumble away and forgotten about. Their god either dies, gives up their position, or simply vanishes.

Our Story begins at Mikage Shrine a small place located in Kyoto up in the mountains, it is nestled away and a shrine that many villagers make their way to ask for favor, prayers as well as for one to give offerings. For the last 50 years the shrine has sat empty, its god having disappeared or vanished leaving it in a state of disarray, many stay away from it in fear that youkai have gathered their. There is still hope within the shrine however, even as time goes on the shrine simply needs a god... though they aren't just made... they are chosen.

The mark of a god is nearly impossible to see, in a divine being their aura alone is enough to tell one that they are in the presence of a god... on the other hand when it comes to a human becoming a god or known as a 'land god' a mark is on them normally on their 'forehead'..usually another god grants the mark sometimes it is earned. The god of Mikage shrine had been 'choosen' even if the person does not yet know it, a young girl known as Koharu Sino walked towards her school a soft sigh leaving her lips as she ran her hand against her forehead "Man that was such a weird dream....why would a weird guy kiss me... much less tell me 'you’re the one' crap" she stated with a sigh.

"Oh well it's just a dream it's not like it really matters much" Koharu Sino is your average high school student starting out her freshman year with decent marks, though she does have a rather 'driery' life. Her father had died when she was just a little girl and her mother did not survive childbirth, leaving Koharu to live with her grandfather a simple farmer or was a simple farmer before retiring. He was hard on her but cared enough to make sure she went to a decent school but he was old school and rather her be a housewife and continued to try and set her up....even marry her off just so that she was out of his 'hair' or what was left of it. "Just one more year... then I can move out..mom inheritance is safely out of his hands so I can live off that..." She told herself as she headed into class, her mother came from a rather prosperous family but time had a way of even making the well off not so much. When her mother passed away no one knew that she had been the last member of her family, leaving everything to her newborn daughter. What she was left with was something many wouldn’t understand... her mother was a member of the Mikage family those that oversaw the shrine....with that came a responsibility and Koharu's simple... though rough start life was going to get that much more...rough.

Once Koharu was out of the door and on her way to school, she swore she could feel eyes on her.

She wouldn't be wrong, however. In the trees above her, unnoticed, a woman in a kimono of white and gold sat watching her. Her hair was as red as blood and her eyes were the color of opalescent Pearls. "That's her? This has to be a mistake......There is no way that THIS plain.....boring.....useless looking child is the head of MY Shrine." She annoyingly. A small imp, cat life in apperance and wearing a pale green and yellow kimono, floated beside her shoulder. "Now that not very nice Jineza-dono. After all, the Master chose her for a reason."
"Well, the coward should have talked to me about it first! I am his familiar after all, Geitsu!" She snapped and looked back at the girl, "What could he have found so special about her anyway?"

"Ya know" "We ask ourselves that" "About you too Jineza" came two voices drifting from the trees around them as on either side a pair of white foxes appeared, one with a red mark on its forehead, the other a blue as they sniggered "The lazy cat who idly grooms herself all day" "And her silly imp"the twin foxes said before vanishing before she could swipe at them reappearing floating in the air "You're supposed to be watching over her" "Not talking about her, the Master wouldn't like to hear you say that" "About his newly appointed one"they said in tandem "Speaking of the Master, he is looking for you." "We shall watch the girl on the way to school." they finished before vanishing once more

Inside the shrine a dark haired man laid on his side fanning himself off, his black fox tail waving aloof from side to side as he looked over a scroll that was delivered earlier this morning by one of the spirit messangers "Is it already time for the tournament preparations to begin....we are going to have to come out in at least the top 5 this year in order to stay afloat.....where the hell is Jineza?"he called out loudly making the tree leaves rustle slightly

Koharu would feel like eyes were on her as she turned some, standing just outside the gates of her school but she didn't see anything. It was odd as she shook her head, "has to be my imagination...or some sick pervert is trying to peek up girls skirts..." she stated the last bit with some annoyance as she shook her head. Koharu would head inside as she did she passed many other students, girls and boys all different looks she was rather simple at least to herself. Brown hair kept long almost down to her hips, amber colored eyes hidden beneath her bangs she was slim but not that curvy like some girls her age...she was well as put before 'plain' ordinary.

The day was rather simple specially to a human girl like Koharu, moving from one room to the next for classes as she soon was sitting on the roof top for lunch enjoying the peace and quiet. She did have a few friends but sometimes during this time period they had to attend meetings and other social events leaving her by herself eating some melon bread and drinking a simple bottle of water. "not really a meal for 'gods' but for simple me perfect" she stated taking a bite out of her small yet cheap meal.

"You two are so annoying." She said and glared at the two. "Kitsune.....more like lap dogs. Fine....watch over the brat. What is the worst that could happen? A paper cut? I have better things to do anyway." She said and vanished, geitsu along with her. They both appeared in the main hall of the shrine, bowing to the man who fanned himself, "you summoned me Master?"

"Yo Koharu, I thought I'd find you up here."came a voice as another one of the students in her class, a young man named Nazuki came up holding two bentos "My mom thought that I had kendo practice today and packed me two bentos, I don't have kendo until tomorrow so you can share it with me if you'd like."he told her holding it out with a smile.

The twin foxes, which had taken possession of two birds sitting on the fence at the top of the school cawed loudly as the boy approached before flapping down towards them before flying away mischeviously "Master didn't say" "We couldn't have some fun" they laughed as they flew

"Jineza! My dearest kitten" Tenjin said as he snapped his fan closed and pulled her into him rocking her back and forth "Jineza! I hope you've been taking care of yourself you lazy cat, I just got a scroll from a spirit messanger, the tournament is going to be upon us in a couple of months and you know what that means this year! We cannot afford to come in last place! I was once the most revered of the sky gods, my name is LITERALLY SKY GOD for kami's sake. But ever since I fell that ONE time no one ever wants to give me the respect I deserve. Well that changes this year Jineza, we have a new Land God and I'm going to make sure both YOU and her are in tip top shape for this year's tournament. Got it?"he said finally letting her go as he opened up his blue fan that had the kanji for cloud written on it as he began fanning himself again

Koharu would turn her head hearing her name, glancing at Nazuki as she blinked a few times "Oh...Hey Nazuki.." she stated looking at the bento and would smile faintly, "um sure thanks...your mom always did make the be...." she didn't get to finish her words when the two birds suddenly dive bombed the two of them making her yelp. "w..what the hell!" she stated startled as she swatted at them, "get back you stupid birds...." Koharu would try and get them to go away, but as she swatted she ended up stumbling into Nazuki causing him to drop the bentos.

Once they seemed to back off she turned to look back at her friend "there that should keep them awa,,," she asked looking back at Nazuki, but as she did she noticed both bentos on the ground kneeling down she began to clean up the mess she made, her hair hanging in her face. "Sorry Nazuki...i...I got some change left over I can go and buy you some food.." just her luck that she'd do that to someone trying to be nice to her, specially the only person that knew her whole life story well minus a few details such as her having a party time job and trying to move out bit.

She hissed when he grabbed her and tried to get out of his hold till he was able to release her. "Yes Master, I know." She said and added at him. "But this girl....she is just a human. You cannot seriously believe that this girl can be a Deity.....she'd be lucky to be able to care for the shrine itself, let alone manage demons or the Tournament." She said as her ears twitched in irritation.

Nazuki scratched the back of his head with a laugh "Well that was unexpected."he said helping her throw away the bentos "No, no save your money, I had a big breakfast, that's why I wanted to share my bento anyway, I wasn't that hungry to eat all of that."he told her "Do you usually come up here and eat alone?"

"Now, now Jineza-chan you can't be to hasty to judge her, you haven't even met her."Tenjin said wagging a finger at her "You must be aware who her mother's side of the family is and where she is descended from by now. Look at what shrine we are at, Mikage. Do you remember the first Lady Mikage that was the first to ever evoke my name and summon me from the Other Side? The power, the tenacity she had, I sense that in this descendent finally after so many generations of shrine priestesses passing without her aura. And once she finally finds her true self it'll be up to YOU to maximize her potential before the tournament this year. And I'm sure I can count on you right Jinny-chan?"he said smiling at her sweetly as his one tail suddenly split into 9 beautiful black tails falling around him like an ebony curtain "Or do I need to remind you about last year's performance again?"he asked his fan covering everything but his shifty, narrowed eyes as he looked over at her

"But I still owe you for what happened...those birds ruined the bentos your mom worked hard making.." she was rather thankful of the birds in a way she didn't like taking handouts even if it came from someone she knew and had been a good friend to her. As they tossed the remaining bits of food away she would glance back at him at his question. Her brown hair blowing from her face some as she nodded "when it's nice out...I just like the quiet plus the breeze feels nice...besides your like my only friend Nazuki and since your busy with clubs I don't want to pester you so I come here."

"I really hate the name you kn----" she stopped suddenly when all of his tails appeared and a chill ran down her spin. "Ye...yes master. I understand. I will do best to please you." She said and bowed to him again and hung her head low to him.

"I'm not always busy with clubs am I?"Nazuki asked before hanging his head "Maybe you're right. I only do it to stay out the house. Don't feel bad about the bentos. Ever since my Mom's company finally closed and since Dad is away a lot on business trips she's kinda had wayyyy to much time on her hands. She literally makes food all day to keep herself occupied. It's kinda her hobby. Today's bento was squid themed."he said sighing "Even the onigiri is shaped like little squids."

"That's my Jinny-chan"Tenjin said as his tails folded back into one and he snapped his fan closed smiling once more "So progress report Jineza, what's been going on around the shrine since I've been preoccupied?"he asked

"Not always no but keeping you to myself doesn't seem fair when you have other friends." She stated with a smile as she watched him, though his mothers food hobby seemed weird as she chuckled. "At least she's having fun and besides it's not like it's horrible tasting. The dog themed one you had that one day looked great the egg rolls reminded me of the lion dogs that protect shrines...she's pretty skilled maybe she should open a bento shop." She stated trying to living the topic a bit and not make it so depressing. "How is kendo going? You going to compete this year?"

She made her self more comfortable where she sat, "we still receive regular prayers and donations and offerings. Geotsu has done well in cataloging everything for way and the shrine is kept being well taken care of."

"I think so. We had tryouts the other day and we should get the results back sometime this week"Nazuki said scratching the back of his head "Hopefully I made the team. I like doing the competition they are lots of fun. How come you haven't signed up for any of the clubs after school anyway?"he asked curiously

"I see, I see well that is all well and nice but why is it do I feel so weak all the time. Like nobody has been praying to me. I used to have to schedule in the blessings I delievered to people's prayers, now I can do it all in one breath, how sad. Hopefully this girl realizes her potential soon and revitalizes the Mikage name. Tenjin is the name of a God that should be living in a palace....not out in the country"he sighed

When asked about why she didn't join any clubs she paused, her hand raising up to push her hair from her shoulder and she bit the inside of her cheek. Could she tell him she had a part time job? The school didn't let students work if they were under a certain age and she still had a year to go before she could officially tell the school board. Glancing at Nazuki she wondered if she could tell him...the thought crossed her mind sometimes but just as she was getting the nerve the chimes went off as she would suddenly grab her back. "crap lunch is over...we should hurry back to class" she stated as she would dart past him down the stairs and back to class.

It was rather odd for her to begin with not to be in any clubs, up till high school she had been in clubs one being dancing, more specific it was traditional dances like the kagura that helped purify shrines. She was rather good at it, but when her grandfather kept pushing marriage onto her she gave it up to focus on getting a job so that she could live on her own...dancing didn't pay bills. The day went on rather simple from there even as the final chime went off and she was gathering her things at her locker, her hand braced against the metal surface while she put her street shoes on. To the side she could hear other students making plans, talking about going shopping, etc...'wish i could just be a normal student for once....' she thought to herself as she slid her bag onto her shoulders and headed out to walk to the bus stop and go to work.

"I am not sure Master. But I will look into it for you if you wish."she said and looked to Gietsu. "Gietsu can you make sure our our records right?"
"Right away!" He said and flew off to do as he was asked. "Will there be anything else my lord?"

"Hmmmm nope, can't think of a think"Tenjin said as he began fanning himself off again "After you check the records, go back to monitoring our newest guest. We can't have anything bad happening to her before the tournament. I can sense my kitsune have returned which means that she must have left school by now. Taking another deep breath she was about to turn to look what road she was on, when she felt something strange. The air around her felt heavy and she would glance around as the lights on the street lights seemed to even flicker before going off as she would blink "ok...this is...getting weird.." she moved backwards only to hear something as she turned quickly. "hello?....is some one there?"

Jineza sighed, "How annoying." She said and stood. "Can't even tell that she's in danger. I have the mind to let her be eaten for being so foolish." She said and crossed her arms over her chest and waited for the the little 'God' to act.

The oni came from around the corner of the dumpster and into plain sight now, eyes still glimmering red and a row a sharp teeth grinning dangerously "What's this? A marked one without the protection of her god in tow?
