“No. He’s been quite about the whole thing. Taking the loss pretty hard. I’m sure we will all know when he is ready.”

“I wouldn’t have said so otherwise.” She said as she began to open her robes, each article of clothing joined the last as steamed built up in room from the running water.

“Ah. The Master graces me with his presence.” He said and laid his head back against the wall. “What do you want? “

"I've never seen that kind of look in his eyes before though...it was....kinda scary...."Akihiko said as he finished his plate of food as people were just starting to get theirs "I didn't know he had that look in him."

Quan-Li couldn't help but grin as he too stripped off his traditional outfit letting it hit the floor as he pulled the ribbon out of his hair letting his long blue hair fall around him "It's all still just a surprise, that's all."

Kenji's fist tightened in his pockets as he looked at Hisako with his uncovered Heaven's Eye "My original plan was to capture you as uninjured as possible and persuade you to telling me about your plans. But then you killed one of my guild mates. So you aren't dealing with regular Kenji"he said as the cell door then suddenly sealed them both into the cell as the dark look in Kenji's eyes grew as the crushing pressure in the room began to be felt as Kenji increased the weight of gravity all around him

“It’s not a look he usually shares....nor likes having to use.” Calista Said.

“Oh...if...if you don’t want to...” She said suddenly self concious

Hisako grunted at the sudden pressure. “Ah....showing your true colors I see.” Hisako Said and smirked

“But overall the mission was a success right? And we do have that bastard Hisako in our custody now. Even if we don’t get anything useful from him, having him definitely lowers their defenses right?”Aki asked to the others

“No, of course I do.”Quan-Li said blushing slightly as he decided to stop talking and let his hands and body take care of the rest as he pulled her body against his as he leaned down to kiss her

“That’s right.”Kenji said briefly “And I’m going to torture you until I get the information I need. I have taken all the air out of this cell except just enough to allow enough oxygen to keep your brain awake and keep you conscious. But you’ll starve for air the rest of the time. That is unless you want to start talking, then you may find air somehow fillling your lungs again.”he said “And don’t forget, while oxygen may be getting to your brain, your other organs and skin cells will suffer irrepairable damage the longer you don’t get oxygen to them.”he said

“But a lot of good it’s done.” Layla said. “I don’t think he is going to talk and if he does? He’s only going to spread more lies or crazy nonsense about his god like he said to us last night.”

Sonia leaned in to meet him, her arms reached up and wrapped around him as her final remaining clothing fell to the floor.

Hisako grunted and began to breath heavily. “You think...you...your threats scare me?” He said, his smiling never faltering. “I do not fear death..”

“Yeah, that guys insane. Talking about purging the world with the power of his God. And talking about our parents and Layla’s parents. I don’t think we can trust anything he says.”

Quan-Li let the room steam up as he continued kissing her as his clothes came off as well as he moved her over to the edge of the tub letting her back rest against the edge while he held her

“Death? Who said anything about killing you?”Kenji said eyeing his smile “My goal is to make you suffer. If you want to tell me any information, that comes later.”he said as another black hole opened drawing even more air out of the room at an angonizingly slow pace “You killed one of my own. If you think you weren’t going to suffer the consequences whatever information you have on me is dead wrong.”he said “This is Raven’s Nest. Our job is to protect the source of magic by whatever means necessary. Your group isn’t the only one who knows dark magic.”he said darkly as his eyes glinted a blood red color down from its usual purple glow “You may not fear death, but by the time I’m done, you will have learned to fear me.”he said as the lights around the dungeon became to grow dimmer and dimmer as they were going out

“And how...how are you certain.....that’s not what I want you to do?” Hisako Said as he began to feel the nagging pain begin to make it self known throughout his body. His vision had even began to blur from lack of air. “That a power like yours.....is wasted on humanity...”

"Wasted on humanity huh?"Kenji asked, probing him since it seemed his defenses seemed to be lowering in his oxygen depraved state "And you need my powers don't you? For what? You wouldn't know what to do with this magic even if you were born with it."he stated though didn't stop his torturing just yet

“Y..your power shall open the gateway....” he said as his breathing got heavier and heavier. “But...y...you are not the....the only one....we need....the...girl.....the one who got away....”

“And why exactly do you need a girl?”Kenji asked as he allowed a bit more air to enter the room now that Hisako was beginning to talk “and what gateway are you talking about? What exaactly is your organization planning on doing?”

“She....her birth...canceled the original rebirth of our God.....the....energy..no...it was something more.....embedded itself in her. Something we need from her....” he said as he took in the air greedily. “And the gateway....it is the only way to reach him. The Master will open it and bright our god to this world.”

Kenji then closed both the black holes letting air return into the room as the cell doors opened again as the lights came back on, keeping true to his word to give him back some of his oxygen if he cooperated "Something embedded itself inside of Layla? What exactly are you trying to summon onto this earth? Who is your god?"he asked looking down at the man gasping for air at his feet "Who is your master?".

Hisako gasped as the air filled the room and his body shook and and trembled from the cold his body felt from the vacuum that Kenji had created. “I...i only know himbas Master....nothing more...” He said as he tried to sit up again. “And our God is Bolzu...and May he devour everything you hold dear.”

"I'm not too worried about that. Not even a god can swallow a star."Kenji said looking down at Hisako "Your master, your organization, its all going to fail."he said as he turned around "I want you to wait here and watch as it does."he said stepping out of the cell as the door sealed behind him again as he headed down the hallways whistling an old song. It was a song that was played at a funeral procession long ago. And it was the song Kenji sung whenever he finally had let go of all restraints. He realized now that this was going to be far bigger than anything the guild can handle, and he didn't want any more of his friends, his family, to die because of his plans. Kenji made his way out of the dungeons to find everyone sitting in the main hall talking in softer voices than usual "Talking about me?"Kenji asked causing everyone in the group to jump slightly as Aki jumped up "You were down there interviewing my brother weren't you! Did he tell you anymore of that crazy non-sense?"he asked

"Non-sense?"came another voice as Quan-Li and Sonia entered the main hall fresh from their "bath" as Quan-Li bowed his head towards everyone "Good morning everyone, I hope we are all feeling more cheery today than last night"he stated as he began warming up his usual tea

“A bit but I think everyone is still a bit somber.” Calista Said as she handed her husband his morning tea and breakfast, joined with a kiss to his cheek. “You ran off so quickly this morning, Was everything alright?” She asked

“Yeah, That Hisako guy was trying to get into our heads and spreading these lies about our families.”
“What did he say about your family?” Sonia asked and Layla frowned, “Said my father was an evil king. That he exploited his people.”

“Oh yes, everything is fine”Kenji said with a smile, the dark look from the dungeon now leaving his eyes “Just had to go have a chat with our new guest..he’s quite the agreeable fellow once you get under his skin a little bit.”he said with a nervous chuckle as he then frowned listening to Layla “that can’t be right....I’m sure we would have heard something about that. We do enforce magical laws after all. But we have the perfect person to verify those claims, can someone fetch Mr. Olliver please?”he said

“Right here Master Kenji.” Oliver said as he walked up to them. “Something you needs?”
“Yes....Hisako said that my dad was an evil king. That he exploited the people....is that true?” Layla asked.
“This Hisako? Is he part of this guild that killed the kingdom?@
“Yes....”
“I see. Well dear not my dear, your father did nothing of the sort. However it was true that the people were being used and exploited but not by the king. It was by others in power because your father had other lords and ladies to help in certain districts and act as civil leaders and voices of the people to bring their troubles to the king. But some abused their power and your father tried to do what he could to help them best he could.”

“See Layla, you had nothing to worry about after all.”Akihiko said rubbing her back happily as he listened to them “But if that is the case though...how come the king just didn’t get rid of all of them before it was too late?”he asked curiously

“Is there anything else you may know Ollie?”Kenji asked “Perhaps any type of malevolent Gods or corrupt things or anything in particular with the Queen’s pregnancy?”

“It’s a bit more complicated then just removing them, unfortunately. Even kings have to follow the laws they expect of their subjects. Evidence. Proof. Law and order and the vote of the council.”
“Logistics.....this is why I hate governments.” Sonia said.
“But as to the Queens pregnancy....no....nothing that I can recall. But then I was also promoted to the royal records keeper after the queens second trimester. As for cults or religious beliefs, the king suspected that a dark cult may have been behind the corruption in his kingdom.”
Layla turned to Kenji, “why are you asking about when I was born?”

"Just trying to piece the puzzle together."Kenji said as he stroked his temples deep in thought "Do not be alarmed Layla, I presume it's nothing. But something involving your birth may have led to the disruption some part of their ritual. I didn't get everything out of him yet. But as I learn more I'll be sure to keep you in the loop."Kenji said as he took a sip of his tea "But because of that, they need you alive to finish whatever ritual they started. The reason they need me is because they need my celestial magic I inherited from my grandfather to unlock the gateway to finish whatever ritual you interrupted. But why that happened, what exactly happened, how that affected everyone involved, and what exactly they are trying to bring to this earth, I have not discovered yet. I just fear it is all bad news."he said with a sigh "But that is why we are fighting to make sure that does not happen. Why from now on we make sure to keep everyone safe. No more casualities. We do this right, and we do this smart. We outplay our enemies by combining our magics the way our founder taught us to with her studies of universal magics."he said rallying the guild "Rest and recover, and be preapred for our next strike. We took out two of their Generals. Next we take out two more."

"For Roscoe! For Raven's nest!" The guild members shouted and cheered. Layla didn't cheer for them. Kenji's question about her birth and her mother had her concerned. But she quickly put on a brave face to keep him and others from suspecting her doubts.

“With that being said, I’m going to be holed up in my office for the rest of the day, if you need me, you’ll know where to find me.”Kenji said standing up “And, unless you are S-Class, I do not recommend going down into the dungeons any further. In fact, I’m expressly forbidding it. Unless you have a proper escort, and reason for wanting to go down there”he said looking directly at Akihiko and Layla for a moment before shiftig his weight and walking off up the stairs

"Why though?" She asked but he left without answering.
"Probably for the best though. Doesn't want him to say things to you that would hurt or confuse you." Calista said.

“Yes, it seems that man tends to be saying things that has our Master on edge”Quan-Li commented as he watched Kenji’s retreating form “It’s still quite obvious that he is quite upset over everythign that is going on.”he stated “But if you need to go down to see him, I would be happy to escort you.”

“Maybe....I might take you up on that later Quan-li. Thanks.” She said before standing and stretching. “But I think first maybe it would you be good to get out for a bit and get some fresh air.”
