Chance Meetings: The Sesshoumaru and MIaka Story

Sesshoumaru watched her his arms folded across his chest in his typical fashion as she explained "My father has told me that others sharing similar powers have been born and died long before you and I came along as well. If it finally happened with us...does that mean we are supposed to fall in love?"he asked curiously as he walked over to stand beside her as she sat and looked out the window as his eyes scanned over the grounds

"Indeed, and to you and your family as well. If your Sessy-kun is to take my Mimi-chan then here is to a long and healthy future mating to them both"Sekai said with a hearty laugh as he downed his drink "Yep that was the one, I'm drunk now"he said with a hiccup and a slight blush across his cheeks

"Don't know.....but you can bet our dads are going to try and pull something." She said and looked up at him.

"You were always such a lightweight. Come on....its time we celebrate the boys birthday and get you to rest." The dog lord laughed as stood

"Oh I'll be fine"Sekai said with another laugh as he stood up "Lightweights are cheap dates y'know"he said with a wink "Ah yes, the servants should almost be here with gifts for the young pup. Having only a daughter myself I wasn't too sure what a young male puppy might want...so I got it all"he said "We cats are known for being prodigal and lavish"he grinned

Sesshoumaru continued staring out of the window as he thought for a moment about what she said "Yeah you're probably right knowing my Dad. Your mom and my mom can both see into the future so my Dad plots a lot of things in advance. He's very mischevious for a so called Dog Daiyoukai."

"Now now you two, enough conspirying against our Great Lords"Izanami said as she entered the room from her previous knitting "The other lords have been assembling in the great hall while your fathers have been enjoying their private drinking time but it's time for the guest of honor to make his appearance, Sesshoumaru the servants will dress you know while I walk Miaka back to her father and escort them downstairs, I expect you to be dressed by the time I return to you and I want no one to be harmed while I am gone."she said sternly as Sesshoumaru shifted his eyes "fine, I will"he said in his same mellow voice as he turned to face Miaka as he bowed his head "Prince Sesshoumaru no Taishou"he said introducing himself officially to Miaka

"Princess Miaka Sekai." She said and bowed back. "Have a wonderful party...bye puppy." She said as she was lead away by his mother. She giggle a bit and walked along Izanami. "You must be very happy and proud of your son My lady." She said trying to make light conversation.

Sesshoumaru's eyes twitched at her puppy comment as the doors closed behind them as a line of servants suddenly tackled him stripping him and getting him into his formal robes

Izanami nodded her head as they walked along "Very much so. Sesshoumaru is the crowned jewel of the West. Great things are expected of my little boy and as such I must prepare him for such. You seem to have taken a liking to my son as well it seems?"she questioned as she walked with the girl

"We only just met.....but I think we could be friends." She answered. "But just have to wait and see I suppose....my mother can look into the future as well....but she sounds sad about it a lot." Miaka added and looke up to her. "Sorry, your son mentioned it that you could see into the future too..."

"Did he now? Funny Sesshoumaru usually isn't much of a talker around other people but he seemed to open right up to you..."Izanami said as she curiously brought her hand to her chin observing the small cat for a moment "Well he is correct, I can see into the future as well. It seems those two men are far more alike than first thought"she said as she opened the door to where her husband and Sekai had just stood "Perfect timing, I was just coming to retrieve you both"she said

"Papa you had too much again." Miaka said as she went up to him. "Thank you my dear. Intake you sicced the servants on our boy." He said with a chuckle. "Come let us join our guest in the main hall." Taishou said and he offered his arm to his wife.

"No my sunshine I've had just enough, at dinner, then I'll have had too much"Sekai said with another smile and hiccup as he pat her head and followed behind as Izanami took her husbands arm and walked out with him. As they entered the hall many demons of all different varities all bowed in respect as Taishou waved his hand dismissively as the other sublords and guests returned to their banter and food as Taishou and Sekai took seats "Miaka you can sit next to where Sesshoumaru will be sitting later. You both hold the same status over the guests being our descendants" Sekai commented

It wasn't long before another door opened and Sesshoumaru was shoved through as he huffed before the expression dropped from his face again as he walked forward before entering the center of the room and bowing his head "Thank you all for attending my birthday celebrations and for the nice gifts, complements and blessings, I'm sure the Dog General is very pleased with you all"he said with another bow before going to sit down next to Miaka grumbling under his breath

"If I helps at all you still get presents out of the deal" Miaka whispered to him since they sat so close. She smiled. Taishou looked over at them land smirked. Just by watching them he could see his son begin to come out of his shell.
The dinner went on and chatter was loud and laughter was cheerful. But then time came to give the prince his gifts. Miaka opted to go last either their gift and after the many nice gifts Miaka felt that her first was not as special but she took a deep breath and stood, bring her gift to sit a short distance from sesshoumaru. "Good evening my lords and ladies. And many happy wishes to you Prince Sesshoumaru. I present to you a gift from the Southern mountains. I must admit it is not as fine as the silk robes or as shiny as the armor and baubles you have received...but....I hope that it...or they....serve you well." She said and smiled shyly as she waved a hand and a servant lifted the lid to the box and the panels fell open. Inside the box, with silk ribbons around their necks, was a tiny twin headed yearling dragon. A wingless creature that still had the power to fly and breath flames but did not belong in the same family of great dragons in the imperial city. The small creature hopped out in excitement and ran in circles around Miaka and the box before she waved her hand and caught it's attention and then pointed to sesshoumaru. The beast tipped and ran for ward to him and hopped partially into his lap.

Sesshoumaru had a look of stunned surprise on his face as the dragon raced around before jumping into his lap as he reached up with a calm hand and began to pat and stroke both of their heads making the dragons curl up and seem to purr with content "This is amazing"Sesshoumaru said "I've never had a pet...or someone to play with in the castle before."he said looking from the dragon to Miaka "Thank you Miaka"he said happily as he smiled

"You know I think this is the first time I've ever seen that little boy smile"Sekai said as he smiled at the children "and it seems Miaka is getting a few jealous looks from the other lords as their gifts were cast aside for this one"he laughed "Oh to have the innocence of a child again"

"Your welcome." She said and smiled at him sweetly. She walked up to him and the dragon. "Father and I found him injured and alone. We brought him home and tested him as best we could. Father thinks with training he will make a fine steed." She said and scratches one the heads. "What will you name him?"

"I think our plan might just work." Taisho said to his friend

"You will be Ah"Sesshoumaru said as he scratched one of the dragons under the chin "And you shall be Un, and together you will be AhUn, like the ancient dragon Ah Mun Ra"he said as clearly she had touched upon Sesshoumaru's fascination with dragons

"I think it just might too"Sekai agreed with a nod as he watched them "It helps that we have the stars on our side. We are in position to be the captains of this destiny and uphold prophecy"

Taisho nodded. "Children...why don't you take your little friend there and go play in the gardens. We will call for you when it's time to come in."
"Yes my lord." She said and smiled and waved to her father. "Come on let's go." Sje said and lead the way at a run out the door with AhUn hot on her trail

Sesshoumaru followed along side her as soon the three were out of the door and playing in the gardens leaving the boring adults to their boring talks and dinner

Sekai sat back proudly as he looked over at his friends hearing a few other lords mumble and complain "It seems everyone was looking for way to get into your good favor"he laughed "To think youkai who are centuries old, outdone by a 9 year old"

"Yes but your princess is quite the charming little creature." Task sat as he found his seat

Miaka giggled as the let her self be chased by the little dragon who chirped and yipped happily after her. While they plaid, a servant watched over them. A green toady little thing that has served the lord Taishou for a number of years by the name of Jaken

'You say that because you don't live with her, she can be quite the diva and quite the tyrant if you catch her on a bad day trust me"Sekai said "She strongly takes after her mother, I'm the much more easy going and laid back parent while she sets all the rules"he said

"i can relate"Izanami scoffed at her husband glaring daggers from across the table at the feeble men

'Aaaww Jakken's here, I can smell him"Sesshoumaru said as he stopped running to pinch his nose "Jaken! Get out of here and go take a bath you Smell like death"he snapped at the toad

"I won't take that kind of tone! I was sent to make sure you two won't get into trouble by the master." He shouted back.
"What a strange little demon he is. I don't think I've seen one so small." Miaka said with a giggle till she felt a sting on her neck and slapped at her neck and when she pulled her hand away there was a tiny little man. "Dose that include me?" He said with a twitch after having been slightly squashed. He popped back and bowed to her while standing in her palm. "Greeting young princess. I am Myoga chief Steward to Lord Inu no Taisho.....the frog over there is a self important babysitter."
"I heard that you flea!" Myoga hoped offer her hand and went straight to Jaken and Miaka laughed at their quarrels. "Their quite a pair. There's no one like them back at home. Mostly just stuffy cat demons who study magic all day."

"Oh don't glare so much Izanami or you'll get wrinkles." He said with a jab at her vanity while sipped more sake. "Anyway, since we have some of your precious time, I wanted to let you know that Sekai and I have come a conclusion that will benefit both our households."

"Well you can have them. I'll take stufffy cat demons over the stinky frog and the cowardly parasite any day"Sesshoumaru said as he rolled his eyes "well if you two are going to watch me, do not interfere with our play, and do not drink our blood you little tick"he snapped

Izanami let out a small growl at her husband at his pokes at her narcassism a she turned to face them both fully "Oh? Okay, I am listening then, what is this plan of yours?"

"Fate has seen kindly to make both our son and Sekais daughter, the living reincarnation of the gods Sol and Luna. We see to help the two get along well and possibly bring our two kingdoms together." He explained

"Well their not all that bad. But mostly it's just sit and read and study and train. I don't mind but it dose tend to get boring." She said she looked among the plants. "I'm studying elemental magic. I want to be as great at magic as my mother but also to be a warrior like my father."

"Hmmm so the cycle has started again already has it?"Izanami asked "I could tell from the moment they saw each other it was as if laying eyes on a friend they hadn't seen in a long, long time. I think it would be a good idea for them to learn to become close friends much the way you two are."she said as she motioned between them "Occasional lovers even?"she teased as Sekai cleared his throat taking another drink "Dogs are horny, cats are hypersexual and wars are long"was his only response to her joke as he downed his bowl of sake refilling it

"Elemental magics huh? I can control a bit of wind, lightning and light magic, but my strongest element is poison"Sesshoumaru said as he held out his claws as the turned a bright green and acid began dripping from his nails burning the ground where it hit and singed "Oh Jakken, you sure you don't want to take that bath?"he said as his acid began to form a cloud and spray towards the toad's direction as he chased the green demon towards the pond on the castle grounds as the young Prince watched his smell babysitter take a dive into the water as he stood on the banks as his claws stopped glowing "That's better. Jakken goes weeks without bathing sometimes. It's appalling."

"That wasn't very nice though she tried to stifle her own laughter while Jaken struggled to get out of the water. "Let me help.. She said and raised both hands and the water began to swish and swirl before the pond spat Jaken out roughly. Miaka tried to stifle her laughter but failed, "sorry.." She said between her laughter and the toad grumpily mumbled as she stood and stormed off to go change.
"Still have a bit to learn." She said and turned back to Sesshoumaru.

"Anyway..." Taishou said taking control of the topic again. "Glad to see you approve dear. Now we just need to prepare for Miakas stay."

"No I think you were right on the money there"Sesshoumaru said as Jakken left as he quickly plucked Myoga from the air as he leapt towards Sesshoumaru's neck and flicked him away "Shouldn't you be advising my father right now and not sucking my blood parasite"he said as he scratched behind his ear "Doesn't the air smell fresher already with Jakken gone"he said as he sat down by the edge of the bank looking out over the water

"Of course, as long as Sesshoumaru will not be a burden to Lady Ayasha"Izanami said as Sekai nodded "Trust me, Sesshoumaru will be no trouble at all, besides, what kind of descendant would I be if I could not host the host of the Goddess Luna in my home and recieve her blessings as well. They would be ashamed for certain. How long have the star crossed lovers waited to be reunited in the flesh once again"he said

"Mm-hmm." She agreed and sat beside him. AhUn moved to the other side of Sesshoumaru and rest one of his heads on his lap and the other on the grass.

"Wise words my friend." Taishou said as he offered more sake to his friend and wife. "And to tie our two houses in the process."

Sesshoumaru gently stroked the dragon's head as he closed his eyes feeling the gentle breeze as his moon began to glow faintly again in his contented state "So what should we do now?"he asked "We could go back inside, your father is staying here for a couple of days. Apparently a lot of paperwork needs to be written and sent out between the two lands so my mother will be watching over us."

Izanami bowed her head though didn't seem as excited as marrying off her son so soon though she knew of both of their destinies. "If you both will excuse me, I will bring the children back inside and prepare them for bed."she said as she made her way out of the room

"You have quite a woman there Taishou. I love Ayasha but I'll be damned if that woman can't be as explosive as a firecracker when the mood strikes her fancy"Sekai said shaking his head "Especially during this second pregnancy, her mood is very volatile."he said with a shudder in rememberance "Glad to be out of the house for a few days"
