Magic Mayhem

Layla caught herself and turned back out of the room and to Oliver. "Oliver! Are you alright?"

"Yes I think so." He said and picked himself off the floor. "Is there another way out of here?" She asked as the castle shook again in warning. "Yes...a servants entrance."
"Good. Take that out of here. I'll go and take care of whoever that is." She said and started to toward the door. "No! Princes's you could be killed!" He said as he grabbed her. "I can't let you do this."
"Look there is no time to argue. I need you to go out the back way, get to the portal and get maste Kenji and the others in case this is the dark guild. Chichi, make sure he stays safe."
"But what about you-chi?" Chichi said with worry written in her expression. "I'll be okay. Right behind you...now go." She said and turned and ran out to the entrance.

"Afternoon...can I help you?" She said with a light level of sarcasm

"You are trespassing upon sacred grounds. These lands were burned and cleansed in the name of the holy light. All who do not believe in the ways of magic shall be purified through becoming magic itself"one of the men said standing slightly ahead of the others, wearing dark red robes as opposed to the others black "And you bear a striking resemblance to the previous monarchy. Is it you who used this space time magic we felt? That is a Lost magic, it would be a surprise coming from a little girl like you."he said

"Nope sorry to say that wasn't me....as for this land I'm not sorry to say that you ass hats are the ones trespassing. This is my kingdom and my home. And since you belong to the cult that killed them....I won't feel bad about this.." She said and suddenly slammed her fist into the ground, the earth suddenly exploded forward sending the cloaked figured a scattering into the air

The man in the red robes jumped out of the way quickly as he held his hand out in front of him as a black flame gathered before shooting forward towards her "This hellish flame won't stop burning until it comes in contact with it's target. Behold the flames of Amaterasu"he said as more flames poured out from beneath his robes flying towards her

"Scales of the earth dragon!" She shouted and put up a wall of dirt and stone. But this flame broke through. This fire ball, like a dog on a scent trail, turned toward her and flew back in her direction. "Shit! Earth dragons duplicate!" She shouted as she got to her feet and started to run. Her golems either got in the way to try and stop the fire ball or went after the wizard in red. The ones who face the oncoming fire ball tried to catch and hold onto it, but each one after slowing it down would then either crumble into a pile of burnt stone. Layla had turned to go after the red wizard with the red robes as she had hoped she had gained some time from the fireballs sje run up and used the remaining golems by using them like steps to jump to the air with the plan to slam her first into the man fave and make him loose concentration and his spell wouldn fail

As she jumped into the air, the other men in black instantly appeared around their leader putting up a wall as the leader stepped backwards avoiding the blow though his flames were slightly smaller now as he glared from beneath his robes "Seems you are a fast one hm, no matter, my unyielding flame will eventually catch you"he said as he held out his hand again only to quickly have to dodge from a large strike of lightning crashing down where he just was moments before as behind Layla, Kenji and Akihiko both stood with an intense look on their faces as the man in red robes paused for a moment "So it is that same wizard from the guildmasters meeting...interesting to know who he protects now"he said "Let's go"he told the group as they all vanished behind a wall of flames

Layla managed to catch herself when she landed and glared at the scorch marks in the ground where they were standing. "Layla!" Chichi called and flew over to her and clung to her. "I was scared-Chi." She said and Layla sighed. "It's okay Chichi. You did good looking after Oliver for me and finding the master." She said and turned to Kenji and Aki as Oliver came to join them. "Thanks." She said and walked over to them. "You guys got here just in time....in strong but that guy in the red......gotta admit I wouldn't be able to take him down in my own..."she said and looked at Aki. "Listen Aki....I'm sorry about before.....just with knowing how much this whole thing meant to me and finding out all of this.....my emotions got the better of me and I should never have acted towards you the way I did. I'm really truly sorry."

Akihiko had his hands on his hips as he looked at her for a moment before smiling "Don't worry about it, just dont get all Princesssy on me again or I'll have to kick your ass"he teased as he winked at her showing they were okay again

"Yes, that is, unfortunately, the power that we are facing with these new enemies. I don't think that was their actual leader though. The explosions from the guild master meeting were much stronger and he didn't use a flame. This is probably some middleman in the whole operation, but still a threat none the less"he said "Let's finish up our business here and leave before they decide to come back with more numbers or a stronger wizard"

She smiled at him and nodded to Kenji before she conjured her golems and sent them into the castle. "They will get your books Oliver, you get what you need from your home." He nodded, "chichi go with him, I'll be there in a second." Chichi agreed and flew off with Oliver. While Kenji and Aki followed them with her, Layla asked, "master, they said that this was sacred land to them in the name of this god? Amaterasu? Dobyoubhapp who that is?"

"Amaterasu? That's a fire diety from the book of Zeref. Is that...oh my....that's the missing piece of the puzzle. This village was used as a sacrifice in a ritual to summon Amaterasu onto the mortal plane. But the ritual failed...so they burned everything and still keep this land as sacred...it may have not summoned Amaterasu, but it definitely gave them access to it's powers."Kenji said "This is something I must share with the other guild masters when I have the chance."he commented aloud "Great work Layla"

"Well those guys didn't seem to tough to me. Yeah the fire was a little scary, but you should have seen the way he ran away from that lightning bolt. Like taking a single hit would kill him, it was kinda pathetic"Akihiko said with his arms crossed "I think you guild masters were just holding back due to the shock of what happened."he mumbled as Kenji sighed "That may be true"

"yeah. He said that those who can't do magic must become magic itself." She added as they reached Oliver's home. "But it must have been the man who lead the attack on the townspeople here originally."

Oliver graves wait he needed and the golems had gathered atbthebportao with the books. "Is this everything Oliver?" Layla asked. He gave a quick inspection of the books and documents. "Yes....that's all of it. Thank you again." He said

"And that's my cue again"Kenji said as he drew open another portal in front of them leading back to the guild "And that would explain his use of sacrificial magic when they attacked the Magic Council"he said as Akihiko stepped through the portal heading back home "Again, so much preparation work that needs to be done now"he sighed "Now that you are back, I am going to need your help in running these training exercises for the other guild members"

"How so?" She asked as she sent the films outside to fall apart after they dropped off the books to a table. Calista came over and helped Oliver get settled while Kenji talked with Aki and layla.

"Well you two are some of the strongest members in this guild. And you've now seen the magic we are up against. Some of our guild members who may not be the strongest fighters are going to need help training in ways to defend themselves in case of an emergency"Kenji explained to them "So I would like your help, as well as our S-Class wizards in training everyone, including yourselves."

"We will do all that we can to help master Kenji. Right Aki?" Layla said and looked to him with a smile. "What do you need us to do first?"

"Well a lot has already happened today, and the sun is starting to set. So we will wait until tomorrow to start, but I'll need you both here bright and early to help get things set up alright?"Kenji said "Besides, I think I've used up too much magical power today, I'm exhausted"he said letting out a small yawn "I think I'm going to head home now and relax before dinner, I'll meet all of you there after, Cali, can you finish things up around here? Make sure Mister Oliver gets his room set up and a nice hot dinner before you all come back?"he asked

"One step ahead of you love." She said and walked over and kissed his cheek. "You three head on home and I'll be there soon." She said and smiled her three favorite people, five when Nekka and Cjochi joined them. "I'll join you guys in a bit...I'm gonna check on Oliver." Layla said with a wave and she and chichi went off to check on Oliver. They found him in his room or a temporary one till he could find a home of his home. He was unpacking what little he truly had and looking over the fresh clean clothes and toiletries. She knocked on the open door and smiled when he turned. "Oh miss Layla. I thought you might have gone home."
"I was about to but I wanted to see how you were doing." She said and walked over to him. "Oh I'm fine. Better now. I will miss our home land but I think I will like it here." He said with a sad smile.
"I swear I will see those that did this path Oliver."
"Now don't start talking like that. Revenge won't solve anything." He said and she simply nodded. "Well a bathroom with a shower is just down the hall, third door on the right. Tomorrow, if you want, we can get you a hair cut and bread trim." She said with a giggle as he grabbed at his long scraggly beard and long greasy hair. "I'll leave hulk to it. Have a good night Oliver. "
"Good night princess." He said and smiles

As she left the room Akihiko was standing behind the door with a cheesy grin on his face "Goooodniiight Princess"he teased her as he pinched both her cheeks before he and Nekka ran downstairs and out the front door was Kenji had already begun his slow stroll him as he usually did after working a late night in the guild enjoying the twilight sky as the sun set "So many eventful things happening in such a short span of time. I wonder what the future is going to hold for us. There are surprises coming from every direction. Also Layla"he said once she had finally caught up to and hurt Akihiko "I'm going to want you paired up with Akihiko at all times from now on, no exceptions. I think now that our friends know of your existence, you may become a future target. I think you were the reason their previous ritual didn't work. You cannot turn an unborn child into magic...so when your mother did whatever she did to get you out of the village, it interrupted their ritual. There must have needed to have been a specific number of people converted into the flames as sacrifice and you must have thrown the magic off by your subsequent birth and defection from the village, taking you outside the magical radius of spell."

"Okay...can't promise I won't beat him up if he continues his teasing." She said and shot a playful glare at Aki. "I don't know how she could have done it....maybe se had magic too....ill ask Oliver of their is anything in the documents." She said as they walked home. "What about you and Calista? I know you guys are strong but arnt you worried that they will come after you aswell? And with you two trying to have a baby and all..."

"Yes that is a growing concern. They seem to have taken note of my space/time magic. Perhaps it is a large interest to their mission as well. For now it's best we stay on guard. Cali and I will have Sonia, Quan-Li and the other S class wizards posted at the guild in the meantime and all teams going on jobs are to have an S-Class escort with them all times"Kenji said "I'm trying to take all necessary precautions"

She nodded and she goes as she crossed her arms. "Wish we knew where these guys were. Take the fight to them." She said as chichi landed on her head. "I wish we didn't have to fight-chi." She said softly. "It's scary....it's dangerous. What if something were to happen or you don't come back-chi?"

"You worry too much"Nekka said "We are unstoppable together, we have nothing to fear"she said confidently as Akihiko echoed her confidence as he proudly thumped his chest

"Yes, well that would be a nice thought, but it's always better to play it safe than sorry"Kenji said as they walked together as he let out a yawn "Besides, these guys sure do know how to make someone drain all their magic power. I've never been this tired before in my whole life"he said with a laugh

"Would you like anything before you go to bed Kenji?" Layula asked as they reached thier house and walked in. Once inside she put her pack off to one said and kicked off her shoes and set them aside with her pack.

"I cant help it-Chi!" Chichi said and pouted at Nekka.

"Oh no Cali will bring me whatever is leftover from tonights dinner at the guild when she gets back. I'm going to go write all my ideas from today down in order to start making my presentation to the other guild masters, remainders of the magic council and wizard saints on our findings of today while I lay down. Just try not to make too much noise this time you two, at least until after I go to sleep, no distractions."he said lightly knocking each of them on top of the head with a smile "Goodnight guys, and good job today"he said before walking off to his room

"Night Kenji." she called after him and with a sigh she flopped onto the couch. "What a day." Chichi moved from her head and curled up on Laylas lap with a yawn. "Sleepy sleepy-Chi." she mumbled and rubbed her eyes with a little furry fist.
